DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, you will first sketch a motif with line drawing. Then you will color the sketch. Instead of paint\, you will use paper to color it. This is called ‘chigiri-e'(torn paper art). Originally\, Japanese paper is used\, but in the workshop\, we will use familiar paper such as colored paper\, newspaper\, and wrapping paper. Tear the paper into small pieces by hand and paste it on the sketch with glue. It is easier to paste the fine details if you use scissors and tweezers. Complete your work as you like\, such as adding a background or using many colors. This time\, we will make it small so that the finished product can be used as a postcard or greeting card.
